Default XBMedia player and codecs

I have some movies that I would like to watch on my xbox that require me to install the Techsmith screen capture codec in order to watch. They are avi files but you wont get a picture until you install the codec.

Is there anyway I can incorporate or install this codec on my xbox?

Nope, the XBox Media Player will only run the codecs it supports (VCD, DivX etc)...

Unless they decide to support to the "Techsmith screen capture codec" you're out of luck... Sorry m8

if you can watch them on virtual dub try saving avi and use a different codec thats supported by xbmedia player or use tmpgenc to convert to mpg then it will play on xbox

hope this helps
