I have tried that, it was mentioned in my beginning post. Every attempt with wmilk has been accompanied with with running WinLPC and now the flashpack also. Waiting on the RMA for the programmer. Thanks.

I'm in Chicago felix17 if you need help... PM me. Also try setting your parallel port to EPP IRQ7 in your PC's CMOS. That did the trick for me. I'm also using XP Pro.

Instal complete! got the replacement programmer and it programmed the chip first try, installed chip and I am now in backup heaven. thanks for all the help, but it was the programmer all along. Kas tahnks for the offer, but I ma good to go now. I work in IT, it is not always "user error"!
