you should endup with the same number of frames as the original,

what a 2 pass means is it reads the entire .m2v file first then re-encodes it and allocates optimal bits to each frame as it sees fit. The result is a much smoother video stream as more bits are allocated in frames that need them.

I hope you can understand what I mean

you definatly should not end up with double the amount of frames.......

yea i get what ya mean . what i meant tho, is when u hit encode (after it has done the vaf file) , should it multi pass auto, or read in then u hit encode again? . as mine goes to correct frames then stops, and file is 0bytes, so if i hit encode again it will write it proper?

No, it should have created an mp2 file on its own. It should first go through the m2v on a 1 pass and create a vaf file and right after that it will make its second pass and create the mp2 file.

this has done me head in!. it goes thru makes th VIF. then i hit encode and it starts encodin, but when it finishes the m2v file is 0kb

ive ripped all the files from my dvd using dvd decrypter
can i still use CCE to re-encode?
if so how do i go about it?

Is there anyway to download the FLASH versions of the guides so I can use them offline?
