I think its probably IFOEDits fault on the subs. IT is very buggy with subs at the moment unfortunately. I can usually get subs working just fine with american movies, but when it counts it doesn't work :-(. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. Its currently almost the only authoring tool I use because of the speed factor. I love it. I just hope Derrows can fix the issue one day.

Copy of the original e-mail sent to dvd2dvdr on 31.12.2002:

"I'm sending you this e-mail to congratulate you for your site.
It's simple and very easy to read.
I've found the Flash idea to be Really Great.

I would like to suggest to you to do something like a "Scenarist" or "Maestro" Flash Guide.

Spruce Up is a great sofware, but is has no subtitles...

Thank You and Happy New Year"

Thanx for the kind words. One day I might do Maestro, but I have been having issues with it and subs myself so its highly doubtful. There are already tons of guides out there for Maestro and Scenarist so I really don't need to bother I think.

only very new at this,,,

i followed the instructions given from dvd2dvdr
site,,i create the text file,,which looks like this,,

loadplugin("D:\mpeg\AviSynth2\plugins\MPEG2Dec2.dl l")

mpeg2source("F:\tremours 2\TREMORS\TREMERS 2.D2V",iDCT=2,CPU=0")

but when i drag it into cce,it tells me the duration
is only 10 minuites,,tried other .dv2 files,same result...

i just need a basic script,so i can get the same result as using
vfapi,,the above tremers works great using the vfapi method,,
but i want to try encoder faster,,,,

cheers,,,

Get MPEG2DEC, not mpeg2dec2 or 3 and try this script, very basic indeed.

LoadPlugin("C:\DVD\Mpeg2Dec\MPEG2DEC\MPEG2DEC.dll" )
mpeg2source("C:\Temp\HP\HP.d2v")
ResampleAudio(44100)

Use DVD2AVI to get d2v from your VOBS, change the location in my script for those of your MPEG2DEC.dll and d2v and see how it goes. I had same problem as you did this and all was OK.

You can also use DVD2AVI on your m2v file and use same script if you demux m2v straight from DVD disc in Smartripper instead of VOBS.
