It could possibly be the media, but I dont' know for sure. What type of player are u using, and what did you author with? CCE has nothing to do with the AUDIO so that can't be causing your problem.
I am using a Sony DRU-500A to burn with I am using a Pioneer DV-606 for my home player and I am using Ifo edit to author with and Nero to burn with. DO you recommend other programs?

I'm missing two of the files you mentioned above:
VIDEO_TS.VOB and VTS_01_0.VOB
What does this mean?
I would run the authoring process again. Which way are you doing it... Spruce or Ifoedit? Do you have a DVD-RW? You can always erase one of those if you screw up

Did you use a DVD-R or a DVD+R? According to the DVD Player Compatability report on that player over a vcdhelp.com, it says it doesn't play +R's.

I used a DVD-R and it is just jittering on my home player sound droping in and out, all of the single layer discs I have worked with have burned and played fine. Could it be the authoring software? Help. I am so frustrated.

Which movie is it? Are you positive you followed the exact steps? Sounds like a frate rate problem. Is it a PAL or NTSC?
