Default nothing ever works

why is it that i can never get anything to work right.....like when i try dvdx to rip to an avi....i gets like 2 seconds from being done and then gets a problem. does this ever happen to anybody? i am not even smart enough to figure out the other programs like flaskmpeg. i can't even figure out the guides to run them right. does anyone have like an idiot proof program where i put the dvd in and hit go and thats it....would someone be willing to help me out step by little step and answer every dumb question i have.....

i do appreciate all the help you all have given before

You dont reckon you're running out of space? I mean thats the only thing I can think of. DVD rips can be fairly large, at least 1.0 gigabyte in size (AT LEAST).

1GB? are u kidding? figure on 3-6GB for a full length movie.

THAT IS WHY I PUT "AT LEAST". AT LEAST MEANS IN MOST CASES, THE SMALLEST OR LOWEST POINT. IF I SAY A FILE WILL BE AT LEAST 1.0 GB, THAT MEANS 9 CHANCES OUT OF 10, IT WILL BE 1.0GB OR LARGER!

But I do agree that most movies are 3 or so, but why try to prove me wrong on that?
