It'd be the same if alot of people started browsing the web on your node, but a majority of people don't use newsgroups. I hvn't noticed many noticeable slow-downs before...

You can share files by downloading a newsreader with the ability to post binaries such as Newsbin Pro or other popular ones.

You can post (upload) using Forte Agent, for example.

Zero, very nice guide. I totally agree with you on this. Ive been using this Grab It program for about a month now and you can get about ANYTHING off of it and it is veryvery fast. Thanks for the guide!! Everyone else, ENJOY!!

Anyone on here actually have a good news server supplied by their ISP?

Mine seems a bit crappy.

Most of the stuff posted on various bin sites is not there. And files are always missing...........

I'm in the UK and connect to the internet through BT Broadband. I've followed the guide and found it very useful and easy to follow. The only trouble is that ( ) is not on the list of groups. Could my ISP have removed this? If they have are there anyway other ways to connect to it? Failing this, are there any other groups I could try?

I've also heard about using MIRC? Is there currently a guide to using this?

Many thanks,
