problem with seeing/transfering files after I log in using ftp

I have a modded xbox (matrix) with evol2.5 bios and the EvolutionX_beta_1.8.2594 dash. I have connected my pc to my xbox using a crossover cable and they both are on the same subnet(192.168.0.1 & 192.168.0.3) and have the same mask 255.255.255.0. My default gateway on my xbox is set to the static ip of my pc, 192.168.0.1. Also, my pc is running windows2000 Professional.

For some reason I am able to log into to my xbox using the command line ftp commands but I can't performed any kind file transfers, or even see the files for that matter. I tried using cuteFtp but it could never get connected.
I doubt my problem is network related since I am able to log into my xobx from my pc(using command line ftp,I just can't do anything after that. Could it be because I am not using the flashFxp program that everyone keeps talking about? Or is there another possible cause of my problem?

When I log in using the command line ftp (eg C:/>ftp 192.168.0.3), it says logged in but I don't see my files or anything. when I tried to upload a file (using "mput") I get permission denied. None of the other ftp command work! Please help. Thanks

i use flashxp....and works great.....do a search on the web for it ,you should find the trial ver.....thats what i use......but for me to get mine to work i have to conect the crossover cable first then turn the xbox on,makesure in the settings of evox that (you or i )have the load game option to off,then if its not off ,put it to off,make sure you scroll down and exit and save,resset xbox,let evox load, put game in drive,the game should not start playing,go to pc and start flashxp or other program,then connect ftp,you should see a bunch of files,select the D file,there should be the files you want to transfer.....hopefully this helps...

CuteFTP Pro v5 works GREAT for me... Make sure you UNCHECK the PASV in the site manager option under the file menu. I am 100% sure that is your problem...
