I might most likly just sell it for like $140 or $130 and include some stuff, and then buy a new one, and my problem will be solved.

Who would by a PS2 for that much with the controller module screwed up? I know if I were looking for a PS2 I would want to try it first, so I think someone will notice that the control does nothing. If you can return it then do that and replace it with a new one.

that's true, i'm lowering the price to maybe like $110 shipped if I sell it, if no one is interested I might try to tape the ribbon in place and sell it to funcoland and get $120 in credit and buy a new one.

I don't understand why you don't just glue it down as suggested. It's permanent, but if you need to take the system apart again, just take the ribbon cable off on the controller module side...

You can tell whether the ribbon and the port still work simplying by toning it out with a multimeter.

I tried to glue it but it didnt stay down, maybe i'll buy krazy glue and try to make it stay.
What is a strong type of glue to use?
