help loading games on new xbox with evox!!

i just got a new pre chipped xbox
im new to all this and have searched the forums but cant find what to do
it has the dashboard and all the files.....but certain games wont load....either wont boot at all or comes up dirty/faulty disc
i thought it was the media but i bought 12 dvdrs of carnogie and the same 3 wont work

they work on my m8 who has the older xbox:
does anyone know if its the software that is installed....the dvdrom or the cds????
