OK HERES SOMETHING THAT HELPED ME!!!

SOON AS I WENT TO BURN SOMETHING THAT WAS ON A 1X DVDR THE 105 ONLY WANTED TO LET ME CHOOSE 1X TO BURN..COULDNT BELIEVE IT!!!

SO I TRICKED IT BY PRETENDING I WANTED TO COPY A 2X PRINCOWHITETOP GENERIC...SO AFTER IT NOW LET ME CHOOSE 2 X AND I HIT COPY IT AUTOMATICALLY KICKS OUT THE BLANK,,,ASKS FOR THE ORIGINAL WHICH I NOW CAN PUT IN SINCE IVE SOMEHOW TRICKED IT INTO LETTING ME BURN 2X..... AND IM USING 2X MEDIA ANYWAYS SO IT BURNS PERFECTLY.

JUST THOUGHT THIS COULD HELP OTHERS WHO R BURNING 1X DVDR DISCS
AND THEN THE PIONEER ONCE REGONIZING IT ONLY WANTS TO ALLOW 1X?

I KNOW THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT SHOULDNT BE HAPPENING BUT ITS A EASY FIX SO IM GOOD FOR NOW?

So you have had success burning to Princo then? did you do a verification after the write also? and what did u test the discs on? i.e. PS2, X-Box, set-top player and what make/model.

YEP PRINCO GENERIC WHITETOPS...NO VERIFICATION JUST BURNED IT.

DIDNT MATTER WHAT I BURNED IT ALL WORKS...LIKE I SAID I HAD TO PULL MY LITTLE TRICK WHEN COPYING A 1X DVDR DISC.

hmm, would like to see what happens when you try the verification process with it. many have been able to burn "successfully" but when the DVD-R is verified, it fails towards the end. These discs often play but will lock up at some point during the movie/game.

Also curious as to what firmware version you have m8?

p.s. Caps Lock button is located on the lefthand side of the keyboard.
