Find the bios chip. You'll see 010 written on it on the middle line. (hehe, you're the one who asked

You can mod the 010 bios, it doesn't behave that much different then the others (the systems couldn't be all that different from a design point of view or else we would only have v2 boards by now.... they may look different but they are just cost reduced)

Ok, thanks. I thought you meant the bios of when you turned on the ps2 at first(lol).

V1 and V2s are trouble because of desoldering the 4 power points. If it was more like the V3, that would be fine. In fact, I like installing on a V3 the best because all the points are right there when you expose the mobo.

i have a version 1 and play it at least 6 hours a day and i got it from release never had a problem with installing.

mine has a 020 bios you have to open it and look at bios chip

lol.. i like putting neo 2.2s in the v3.. cant say the same thing about messiah type chips!! that may be different now though, i have to do on after xmas, so we shall see!!
