Default win xp prob (new programme installed)

having a bit of a prob at the mo, my pc crashed coz of my graphic card this afternoon , I now have sorted that out and restarted my pc but now everytime I go to the start menu it say that loads of the programmes are newly installed ( with the yellow shading ) but this is not true. Now everytime I go to the start menu it says this.

Anyone know wot is up ?

try this:

place curesor on the start button on the bottom left, rightclick, press properties.
press customize

scroll down all the way and unclick "use personalized menues"
