I'm kidding. Still don't know where you guys get this one from but it doesn't matter. A blown fuse should have infinite resistance (Hi-Z), or at least a very large one, so you should be reading that off the scale/display --> scale will say infinity, display will flash or say error or show infinity (maybe the one you have is a digital one which uses 1 as a symbol for Hi-Z).

I have had the same problem after many months with a Messiah & v4!?!?

Took chip out still black screen - CHECKED ALL fuses all okay, also there are no solder blobs etc

Please does anyone know what else could be gone?!?

this is what im worried about lol.. i was thinking when i opened it up it wasnt gonna be a good job cos i did it when i wasnt as neat, but to my suprise it was perfect, nothing near bridging and nothing loose or messy looking.. and it does this, i hope i find a fuse because if i dont ill crack lol.

M8 i can't find nothing wrong on mine AND now the chip is out?!?!, It was working fine for about 3 months played everything and now just a black screen?!!?

I've even checked BEHIND the bios legs etc!!!

Also NO fuses are blown?!??!?!

I use both. So I guess what I'm getting at is that not all meters display Hi-Z the same way (so make sure the newbies know that when you say 1 you mean large resistance or else they may see 1ohm and think there is something wrong). I use both, for quick and dirty continuity readings I just use an ****og one at home, if I'm in the lab then I use a digital one (normally with the tone turned on). If I need something very precise then I only use a digital one (because my ****og one has a logirthmic scale).
