i cant "help" but.. is there anyway that it could be a psu fuse or component thats broke on oliveshaggers?? just a thought.. probably a completely useless one lol

right, ive just bought a multimeter. what do i set it to on the ohms bit?? 20, 2000 2000000 etc.

ive been prodding them on the 20 setting and i dont seem to get dead 0's on any, i get like 0.5 and stuff.

im grinning because i fixed it what a relief! i sold all the parts from this V7 - but had the same problem on a V5 - it was the clock resistor that had blown, and i managed to replace it neatly enough

oh, and i found out that it was the biggest resistance i wanted

I have the same prob as you guys, all is dead except for the red/green light and the fan, no video etc! I installed a messiah 2, nothing happened (no video/ eject light) so I took it back out again and still the same Its my sis`s PS2 and she`s gonna hang me .. HELP !

Does anyone have a diagram pointing out the fuses on a v7?

Ok.... Found a blown fuse, shorted it temporarily and PS2 came back to life.. now to find a surface mount 2 amp fuse
