Default maxim dvd

Obtained maxim dvd highly recommended but when I use it connected to tv or stereo I get very poor low output from the microphone... Probably needs to be set up correctly any ideas all help much appreciated

Try reading the manual, the bit about setting the volume of the microphones might help you, lol.

Everything setup fine in menu mic at max in auto and controls on front at max, so suspect mic will any type of mic work? got a sennheiser... only connecting it to my tv via scart could also be a problem....tv set is dolby pro logic....

Phoned my local woolies store and they phoned around for one located a few around the country so I got it delivered to my local store cost 18 pounds delivery suppose it was worth the extra been told its an excellent player.......if only I could get the mic to work

Changed the mic still no joy must be a dodgy player, don't know if I need a pre amp but surely the dvd should do that for me??????

The mic input circuits on the maxim may be designed for electret type microphones (the ones you have to put a battery into) which have a higher output than magnetic type microphones (professional type)
