Hi akuma47,

By internal IP, I take it you mean that your PC has a static IP assigned. IF so let us know what OS you are using and I can help show how to change it.

With regards to other tracking methods within a PC, each piece of hardware has a unique identifier such as the MAC address of a Network card. These tend to be much harder to change without physically changing the hardware itself.

akuma, as per what Tierra has said also bear in mind if you are on a network you will need another ip addy within that range in order to connect back to the network unless they have a DHCP server running.........if this is just a standalone PC at home then just go to a Dos prompt and type:
ipconfig /release

then type

exit

then reboot your PC

if your machine is 98/Me etc type

winipcfg

then on the window that pops up click on the release all button and reboot.

Before doing this it might be an idea to take down the details of the IP addy, Subnet Mask and Def Gateway just incase they are there for a reason.
HTH

Edit: Any probs post here or anymore info and we will give you a hand
