nope not working

I have set both PCs to DNS suffix of mshome.net

Take the DNS off of both

try and ping PC1 from PC2 again do you still get a reply

they ping each other fine

they dont have any default gateways set - do I need to set them?

I had big problems setting my network up, both pc can access each other and I can print from a shared printer on both pc's.

After tearing my hair out for over a week it dawned on me a far easier way to connect my second pc to the internet than across my LAN was to run an extenstion lead from the phone soccet used by my pc down stairs along the route of the LAN cable (ie 2 cables insted of 1 ) hey presto inernet access upstairs and down for a couple of pounds and in 10 mins flat
