yeap, it is not endorsed. just got my ar/freeloader today. it should function quite well as a "bootdisk". it doesent even reset the console after you select the game... just loads straight to the game . on a side note, the ar also has the barcode pressed in the disk. i am assuming this is part of the protection as you cant dump the ar disk with a pc either. maybe someday we'll be able to backup our precious orignal gc disks .

some very experienced groups have actually managed to get the data from the GC game discs and store them in ISO form - the only problem is that no-one knows how to boot them and its not easy to make the ISO either - apparently their a sniffing the IDE port and lifting the data byte for byte

well i heard that the panasonic cube has two lens one read dvd and one read games so i guess still hard to crack.

The Q has been crack in HK. Since the Q is able to read regular size dvd, some guys put the games on dVDR and ran it off. I remeber reading about this on serveral months ago.
