Hi Tropenhase

So is LOTR 2 on PS2, copy protected?

Can I not back it up with the way ps2daddy is saying?

So how do I do it?
Well these 2 games are copy protected because they are DVD 9 Dual Layer games and DVD burners are only capable of recording DVD 5 single layer games.

Kalsito I beleive has ripped xenosaga to a 4.5 DVD-r the cut scene videos have been downsampled but other wise all content is intact.

No word yet on MGS2 Substance (that I know of)

It is a UK Pal game, so will that make a difference? Do you know if that version is copy protected?
The Pal game is not protected either
Check to see if you orignal is scratched or dirty if you get errors when you copy it.

You can use a CD cleaner to fix the dirty disk and you can use a disk doctor to take out the scratches.

Every PS2 game can be copied directly unless its a dvd 9 game

Also make sure you burn on good quality disks

Questions:
1. What chip do you have in your ps2
2. What Brand of dvds are you using
3. Did you try the instructions I gave on toast copying yet?
