If I am not mistaken doesnt Instant Copy re-encode and takes hours where dvd2one oly compresses and takes 70-90mins, seem to get what you pay for really, if something takes 5-7 hours of course it is going to have better results, that goes without saying, dont think it is fair comparing a program that re-encodes to a program that compresses.

If I was still doing dvds I would stick with dvd2one, quality has always been good for me and I dont care much for extras and menus, just the film.

Don't be too quick to dismiss the new version guys.

I dont care too much for menus either, but the new version still has a "movie only" mode and the compression engine has been improved.

Try doing a "movie only" on the new version, it's definitely better .... trust me I'm a doctor

Yes you are right, I've done 3 film only discs today with v1.1.1 and the final pic quality is slightly better than the old version. I don't care much for extras on the whole myself but wanted to use DVD2one for all series discs. Looks like I'll have to stick with IC 7 for that right now.

i did the movie blue in the face using this version and it was done in 29 minutes compared to 2 hours it probably would have taken with ic7. one thing i would like to see is the ability to exclude some language tracks and subs that you are able to do in movie only mode. hopefully this will be addressed in the next version but it is definitely looking good for dvd2one. its nice to have everything even if you only check out the extras once in a while.
