Default Cheap CD-RW that does CD+G

I Bought a "BTC 52x24x52 CD-RW" for 45 Quid and discovered that it does CD+g...just thought i would pass on the info fo thoose that cant afford a Plextor ;-)

WELL I BOUGHT AN OPTOWRITE 48 /16/48/ THAT STATES ON BIG LETTERS ON THE BOX THAT IT DOES CDG......AND GUESS WHAT....IT DOESNT......I THINK I NEED CDR WINS NEWEST JOBBY COZ ON 3.8 THIS THING ISNT EVEN RECOGNISED......it pisses me off when companys state that theyre products do cdg....lite on and now this pile of turd both stated that they do cdg but they dont......even disc juggler tells me it wont read and write cdg......any ideas anyone.....besides go get a plex.

which is the latest cdr win i have 3.8 at the moment.....my mates got 3.9 it doesnt recognise it on that either.......it came with nero but that wont recognise cdg.....aaaaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the writers will probably write cdg but not read em.my liteons definately write em but they wont read them.if i create bin files from mp3g the liteon writers write em no problems,but if i try to read the disc that i have just created with the liteon drives they will not read them to copy another.so the senario is the writers will not do a straight copy of a cdg disc.

DJrhythm, could you please confirm that the BTC only writes cd+g and does NOT read cd+g?

it reads and writes.
i copied a disc in BTC to HDD using CloneCD, and then wrote the image back to a cdr using BTC and CloneCD, then played it back..and it worked :-)
