Switch to a different media try traxdata or Ritek. Bulqpaq are fairly low quality (although the purples that you are using are supposed to be better) and I wouldn't trust anything that doesn't use a dark purple dye on the bottom (I use them for movies and games and my game systems are media picky).

hi mate thanks for the reply, just as i got the email saying a reply had been posted ive had my first success with the purple bulpaqs.

Burnt at 1x using the 1.30 firmware and the newest version of nero. It was only 44mb burnt onto the dvd but it came out OK so now its burning the full shebang. Heres hoping ;]

You might have had some bad discs in the spindle which would explain it. Let us know how they turn out as you do more of them.

i use white top princos and they work fine. i just recieved a order of silver topped ritek and all my players seem to love them (including my old panasonic which is fussy about what backups it will play). the princos are like .75 each while the riteks are 1.15. i would stay away from the bulpaqs. seems many people have the same problem as you with getting coasters because of defective dvdrs. you can get them at meritline.com and rima.com. have used rima many times without any problems and thier prices are pretty good.

Unfortunately -co'b isn't located in the states so he would have to pay a hefty import duty on those discs. I agree though that the Ritek dye discs are probably the cheapest most reliable media both the G03 discs (1x/2x) and the G04 discs (4x). I have never had a problem with my Ritek silvertops and now that my Cendyne105 can burn them at 2x I couldn't be happier.
