gamecube disks aren't read backwards, the test: open the lid while the disk is spinning. also, how did you create the 1.3gig iso ken_master?

i second that, contrary to popular belief gc disks do not spin nor read backward. the protection is in the barcode.

nope - well yes - there is a SORT of barcode on a GCN disc - a Blank area that would make ANY ordinary DVD drive think the disc is damaged - hold your GCN disc upto the light - now look at the inner data side of the disc - !!!!! See that!!! that round gap all the way around the disc where there should be data? Thats the problem!

can't they invent a modchip which will alter the cube bios into NOT reading the barcode?

As one of the original XBox hackers said, the game cube is not hard to hack, it is just very expensive, perhaps too expensive.
