Default .sit files and .rsrc what are they?

I have a program that I've extracted from a .sit file with StuffIt and its comw out with a file with no extentension and a file named the same but with .rsrc

Can anyone shed any light?

The program from the .sit is a old spectrum, as in Sinclair Spectrum file, rsrc is a MAC resource file
