Default ps2 backups using powerbook G4

sponsored links

i have a question.. Still new to the mac osx..

I made a duplicate of a ps2 game and saved it on my local hd..

When I burn the game using toat 5.1.2 i get no errors, but it will not load on my ps2 with magic 3 chip..

Is ok to burn ps2 with a duplicate folder or must it be a iso image??

Thanks

What media are you using. The PS2 is very pickie with discs. Sony does it to help stop piracy. You can tune the laser though. Only burn at 1 times.

Update to Toast 5.2(link on apple site)

I always save the game as a disc image, then burn it back as a disc image.

One other thing thinking about it. I had the same trouble with my iBook. I burned a ripped PS2 game and burnt it on my iBook. It would not play. I then burnt it on my G4 and it was fine. I think becaue of the low power consumpion on laptops you end up getting a weaker burn than you would on a desktop. Plus the fact of crap lasers in PS2 it doesnt sound a good combination
