Default Need Help installing Hard Drive...Please Help [Western Digital; ; winXP]

sponsored links

Hi

I just bought a 80 GB Western Digital Hard Drive today. I have a 10 Gig HD also and wanted to have my 80 GB HD as my master and my 10 GB HD as my Slave. Anyways i installed both Hard Drives, i boot up my computer and i got an error saying "Operating System Not Found"

So i restart my computer again and i place the floppy disk that i recieved with my Hard Drive in the drive and the Hard Drive installer loads. I click on install but i get a message saying that there are no Western Digital Drives installed but i know that i installed the Hard Drive exactly as on the instructions.

Can anyone help me here. Has anyone had the same problem and can help me out. Any help would be much apprecieted.

Thank You

do you have the jumper settings set right (according to what the label on the drive, or that came along with the drive says), and also have the ribbon cable plugged in the right waY?
