Default urgant help needed with xbox to pc

sponsored links

hi i have installed windows 2000 pro as i have been having loads of problems with win98, when i had windows 98 i managed to connect my xbox to my pc and use flashfxp which took me aages to finally get it to work BUT since i have installed win 2000 pro i can't connect my xbox and pc .

everytime i try using flashfxp it says `connection failed, (connection refused)

i have reinstalled my network card so i don't know what to do,

before i installed win2000 pro i checked my xbox settings and in network the part what is in bluse writing the ip said 0.0.0.0 (this is when it wwas working) but know it says 192.168.0.2 which is the ip i use for flashfxp.

all the other settings are the same

please can someone help me i am ready to smash my xxbox to pieces

thanks

what version of EvoX are you using? (assuming you are using the EvolutionX dash). I could not get it to work with the newest version (45 something i think) but with version 3682 it works great. you shouldnt have to change the IP values at all, just go into the system settings and use the static IP address.

How are you connecting it? Direct from PC-XBox using crossover cable? or through a hub/router/switch etc.

Static should work, follow networking section in the FAQ thread

Key settings should be:

Xbox Settings

Static IP = Yes
Enable FTP = Yes
IP = 192.168.0.2
Subnetmask = 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway = 192.168.0.1

PC Network Settings

IP = 192.168.0.1
Subnetmask = 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway = 192.168.0.1

If everything's working, it shouldn't be a problem.
