Default Cant convert because of Audio?

sponsored links

Got a XVID rip of the Magdelene Sisters. In the file name it says 'OGG' - Am I correct in thinking this is an audio format? I think this is what is causing me problems. The movie plays fine in Media Player etc, but I cant convert it to VCD or DVD. I have tried opening it in VirtualDub to extract the audio but it wont open. Tmpgenc will only convert the video not the audio?

Is there anyway I can convert or rip the audio?
Is there anything for ripping OGG sound in movies?

Thanks

Sounds like it is an OGM (Ogg Media Stream) the actual audio format is OGG Vorbis although OGM supports other formats.

Try VirtualDubMod.

Downloaded VirtualDubMod. It allowed me to pen the video but wouldnt allow me to extract the audio (no audio stream present or something). Tried converting them both together but got a Windows error Message about 30 seconds into encodeing..

Any more ideas?

You have to remember with an OGM the avi audio settings in VirtualDubMod are useless.. after all it is an OGM file and not an AVI.

You could also try Cyrius' OGMDemuxer.

Once you have your ogg vorbis file either from virtualdubmod or ogmdemuxer you can decode to wav.
