Default DVD copy protection

I know that most DVD movies have copy protection on them. But do any data DVDs such as games have any copy protection on them as of now? If none do as of now, will some game DVDs start having copy protection on them anytime soon?

Yes they are now starting to put additional copy protection on games. For the XBOX this problem can be solved by upgrading to the Xecutor 4976.02 Bios or you can find individual patches for the games that require them. For the PS2 you can also find patches for the individual games that require them. I hope this helps

Lots of PS2 games have mild protections, but there eaisly bypassed.

The should use protections used in PS1 games, much harder to crack.

So some PlayStation 2 DVD games have some form of copy protection? What software do I need to clone these discs? Can I keep using Prassi Primo DVD to copy PlayStation 2 DVDs? That's what I have been using so far, and I have never had a problem.

Is it just that I am lucky and none of the games I have copied have been copy-protected, or is Prassi Primo DVD automatically get passed whatever copy protection there is? Am I in the right forum for these kind of questions? I could see this topic fitting in the DVD forum because it is about DVDs. I also could see this fitting in the Video Game Backup forum because it is about video games. It could fit in the Video Game Backup- PlayStation 2 forum if I am only talking about PlayStation 2 DVDs.
