PhilEnfield is correct if that's all you are using then your problem is solved. Nero and Alcohol 120% CAN'T read through a copy protected disc by themselves. They must be ripped by a program that reads through copy protection. I would definitely recommend DVD Decrypter and DVD2ONE. DVD Decrypter will allow you to bypass the built in copy protection on the DVD and rip it to your HD. DVD2ONE will allow you to rip out the special features on a DVD or downsample so that a Disc that is too big can fit on a single DVD. I simply use DVD Decrytper in ISO mode for 1:1 backups (for movies that will fit on a single disc). I only use Alcohol 120% for games or Music CDs. I hope this helps.

not sure about ripping but i put the dvd in the tray and then load it in with the program and choose copy guess thats not ripping eh.
