This alert error message in Netscape 7.0 can be caused by a [url=http://techaholic.net/ns7.html#046]Conflict with Norton Personal Firewall.

Disabling Quick Launch may fix the problem.

i dont have norton personal firewall, but i have norton antivirus 2003 pro.

i wonder if its cuz of the HOSTS file i installed along with kazaa lite.

it has lots of the adresses in it that netscape always alert me of.

This is undoubtedly causing the alert problem. The Kazaa Lite version of the Hosts file has a lot of sites in it that are undersirable due to ads or other trash content.

The "leader.linkexchange.com" that was rejected in your error message is directed by the Kazaa Lite Hosts file to the fake IP address of 127.0.0.1, which keeps it and other included entries from connecting to their sites. This is by design, and the error alerts may be a cost of rejecting these unwanted sites unless you can find some other way to disable the alerts. Of course, you could rename the Hosts file and this would stop the alerts, but this would allow the connections to be made and defeat the purpose for which the special Kazaa Lite Hosts file was intended.

The IP address of 127.0.0.1 is an alias for the local host, so it loops right back to your own computer instead of going out to the undesirable sites. This is the whole point of the Kazaa Lite Hosts file.
