My under standing is that the other drives will have trouble when it comes to ejecting discs though. The only model that I am 100% sure that will work as a complete replacement (once it is flashed with the Samsung firmware) is the 616T model.

I couldn't find this 616T model anywhere including ebay. I have also tried pricewatch and pricegrabber. No luck.

The 616T is currently on ebay. Only one of them but it is there. Try typing in "XBOX SAMSUNG" and you should get one to come up. *EDIT* Yup I just confirmed that it is still there.

I know which one you are talking about. By looking at the Samsung label that is showing in the Ad, it is SD-616 not 616T

Hmm sounds like the guy lied then. Sorry about that but he had it listed as the 616T and specifically said that it could be used for XBOX games.
