yeah but unflashed will save you anoter $10-$20. and the firmware is EASY to find. just email me. the hardest part would be to flash it and i don't believe that that is too hard.

the 616t needs to do a some hardware modification in order to work for the xbox. It is not worth the time to do it and it is not guarantee to work.

well you can always just add it like an additional drive and play it like that, there is not much modding you have to do there.

If I flash the 616t with the samsung SDG-605 firmware, I assume it will read xbox originals as well as cdr when installed in the xbox. What if I install this drive to a pc, will it work on a pc with the SDG-605 firmware? Will it read regular pc discs?

yep, both will work. a lot of people flash the 616t and use it as a pc drive so they can read original xbox games on a pc.

Where did you read this? I have never heard of it being done.
