Default Please help - How do I remove a posting on the web about me?

sponsored links

Hi,

Someone has posted my work email address on a web site and I am getting loads of junk e-mails being sent to me and hence I am getting grief from my boss.

How can I get it removed from the web site?

I cannot see any adminstrator email address and obviously want it removing, preferably without involving my boss as he would think I have posted it.

Thanks for any help.

Hi ABARKIE,

Have a look at

***********.all-nettools.com/tools1.htm

Use Smart Whois and enter the website URL. You may get lucky and find some info such as an email addy or the like for them.

Won't it be a bit late for that now? Once you are on 1 junk mailing list, doesn't it quick;y get passed on to loads of others? But I could be wrong. Once I start getting spam, I change my email address.

Yeah, I'd say your pretty screwed. See if you can change your email addy at work, course this will involve your boss. Also you can goto a dot com registration place like www.godaddy.com and type in the web site address. You can then find out who registered the site and there should be some kind of contact information............You can threaten them with legal action, and get your address removed...............just my 2 cents.........

But even threatening them with legal action won't get the address taken of the spam mailing lists will it? In my experiences with spam, you just keep getting more and more of it. I have several mailbxes that I don't use anymore, and when I do check them occasionally, they are just full of hundreds of spam mails, ****, ******, free money, you know the sort of cr@p I'm talking about.
