Original one that came with xbox and excuter2 lite chip. Im still new to this so i dont really know how to tell what bios i have. My xbox is brand new im still learning day by day on all the workings of it. Do i really have to flash it or can i just put my new hard drive in.

with your modchip ON go to the msdashboard from evox and click settings, then system info, let it scroll through all that crap then it'll give you two kernal numbers, write them down here and we'll see where we're at.

I havent installed evox yet. Thats what this is all about I got the new harddrive in the mail today and i just switched it i dont know if i should use the slayers2.1 disc. Should i put my original harddrive back in the xbox.

yep you can do that with your orig harddrive
what you could also do is put your old hard drive in, backup everything you need. plop in new hard drive, use slayers and then ftp back to the new drive and replace all the files it put on there with your backed up files. that way everything will be AOK as before and you'll have new harddrive set up

I believe i have the Cromwell Linux Bios v1.8
