Computer restarts a few minutes after connecting to the internet.. [; ; winXP]

Hi,

Every time i connect to the internet, after a few minutes, an error message pops up saying:

'Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.'

And it has 2 buttons with the option of 'Send Error Report' & 'Don't Send'.

Afterwards, it gives me another error message with the red sign with an X in it saying:

'The system is shutting down please save all work and log off, this shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY SYSTEM.'

'Windows must restart because the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly.'

On the second error message it gives me 1 minute to save my work then the computer just restarts automatically and it has a 1 minute timer before it restarts.

Please help because i cant use the internet properly without it happening.

have you installed the hotfix that MS released to address the flaw in RPC that allows an attacker to shutdown your system? this sounds like what is happening to you.

thanks, i guess its worked because i haven't got the error for a few hours now.
