Default Changing BA chip & PS14 fuse

sponsored links

I have a guy who sells these. I think my PS2 won't boot because the BA chip and PS14 fuse are toast. Before while turning on power, no eject but blinking blue light, BA chip got too hot to touch. Now BA chip is cool, but PS2 eject light doesn't blink, no humming sound anymore.
My question is can I just replace these and do I need a specific BA chip for my ver.4 gap console.

You should test the ps14 fuse with a multimeter first (save yourself some time if it isnt blown)
But the lack of the blue eject light and activity from the ps2 is usually the ba chip and your ps2 should be fine if you have that replaced.
