Default New Game Console: Phantom

sponsored links

Do you remember the rumors about a new console called Phantom around last Feburary? Well, its been 6 months and finally some details:

They seem to think they have a shot at taking Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft, Maybe they do, but I don't think so, they rely on power.

Yup I have been talking about it quite a bit with members of another forum. The thing that really stinks is that you will have to D/L all of your games and it doesn't look like the console will even be for sale in the stores (you would buy it or rent it out from your cable company or i-net provider). D/L games doesn't sound bad but when you have to pay retail price to D/L a game that is rediculous. If I am going to have to pay $40-$50 for a game I don't want to have to spend all day D/L it. The average game today is 2GB-2.5GB so even with high speed internet that would take quite a while. If you are a beta tester than that is one thing but I would never pay any kind of money for the Phantom. That and the company isn't quite the multinational influence that Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo are. BTW Jaice you might want to warn users that link is going to flood them with Pop-ups.

Yeh i read about this ages ago i thought it looked crap at the time and i still do, i mean dlding games for 40-50$ each, especially people in the uk where 60% is stuck with 56k (like me) so the sales wudnt be too good. and yeh i agree with the not beating sony and nintendo thing coz this is a crap companies first crap console (in my opinion)

BTW Jesterace havnt you got a firewall? That new virus that goin round screws your pc, so be carefull

$400 for the system plus $10 a month for highspeed broadband. Sounds like my tivo and my cell phone got it on.

I'm still sticking with my ps2. I still remember the panasonic 3DO that went nowhere, now they make software like sega.

Yes Crashhard I do have a firewall. I just don't have a pop-up blocker as they don't always seem to work and sometimes they remove stuff that you actually want. BTW pepsik, that $10 a month is on top of the cost of broadband right?

Damn, that makes it even worse. It would have been worth it for the cheap broadband.
