Question Error Code 89030000 PLEASE HELP

sponsored links

Hi all I need some help with this error in PowerDVD.

Error Code 89030000
This disk will also not play in my XBox or Standalone DVD player.

I've been writing DVD's all week and have all worked fine, I havn't installed any new software and I use exactly the same process for all DVD's.

The problem is with Treasure Planet original.

Heres what I do.

Use DVD Decrypter to rip whole DVD to HD in File mode read
- These files play fine in PowerDVD
Use DVD Shrink 2.3 to compress the whole DVD to fit on 4.7 DVDr
- These files play fine in PowerDVD
Use ImgTool to generate a .img file for use in burning to DVD
Use DVD Decrypter to burn the img file in File mode write

The resulting Treasure Planet DVD doesn't play.

I've read elsewhere that people are suggesting reinstalling ASPI drivers, but won't that just effect playback on the PC and not on standalone DVD players? It only appears to be a problem with Treasure Planet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest burning the video_ts and audio_ts folders in a program such as nero (if using nero, make sure burn as dvd video disc and check the dvd compliance box) or preferably record now max-

the fact it plays fine after the dvd shrink stage suggest to me that the error occurrs after this stage.

you don't need to make an image of the disc

also you may want to upgrade to dvd shrink 3 beta 5- the quality of output after shrinking is noticeably better especially if you use the deep ****ysis function which is new to dvdshrink 3

Thanks nimbles.

Hmmm, I don't like using Nero as I've had some problems in the past with compatiblity of written disks with standalone DVD players.

My method hasn't failed me to date.

What version of nero are you using? Nero 6 (i think latest at the mo is 6.0.0.15 works fine for me and i have an xbox which can be quite picky with dvd compliance)

Like i said i actually prefer record now max anyway (although some people here use prassi primo- but to my knowledge thats just an older version).

I don't think you can get it any more but it should be easy enough to find if you look in the right places.

I use Prassi Primo for general DVD writing use, I've got Nero 5.????, I'll try and get hold of version 6 and give it a whirl.

Thanks.
