Default Ifoedit users , Keep menu and movie only, does it work ?

sponsored links

I have been reading the user guides to do with ifoedit.

I have tried several attempts at the guide

'idiots guide to keep original menu'

I just cannot get it to work, i follow the steps, and i only keep the titlesets which ioedit tells me i need, but no s/w burning program will burn the dvdr, think its a compiance issue.

Has anyone had success with this method of keeping only the menu , and the movie using ifoedit.

Use it all the time here where possible. some burning progs don't seem to like ifoedit. see if the movie plays ok in the ifoedit dvd play option. if it does then in your burning prog go into the options and turn off the option that checks the dvd is compliant before burning. trust me it'll play fine in your dvd player as long as it plays ok in the dvd play option in ifoedit.

Could use the dvdxcopy method:

works for me

i've had a few probs with doing this kind of thing as well- basically wanted to remove part of a vob that had an extra and a trailer (wanted to remove the trailer which was like 150mb) did it and deleted the playback of the trailer in ifo edit.

got the warnings in the burning software (well nero warned me, record now wouldn't let me) weird thing is it played in the xbox (which i thought was arsey with compliance) but not in my dvd player.

the dvd xcopy method is pretty easy, and replaces the extras with very short blank screen footage that take up like 14k so you could give that try, i've done it and once you do that you can can then open it up in dvdshrink or even any of the other programs (e.g. dvdsone or instnat copy)

you can, if you kind of know what you are doing be selective and keep certain extras provided each set of extras is in a separate vob set

Turned off dvd compliance in record now max, and the dvd burnt.

Inserted the dvd in player, menu, came up and it let me play movie fine.

If you select any option apart from play movie , the screen turned green and the dvd player reset itself and the dvd.

Not a perfect solution, but progress of a sort.

What even if you just click on scene selection? it'll crash if you click on the button of a vob set you've removed. just don't click them or use menuedit to relink the buttons that are no longer in use.
