Hi stewarty, Sorry to see your still at it. If you have another power supply you can take off a differnet pc or borrow a friends for a moment then try that. Its a good posibility that its the power supply.

If you have a multi meter, you can test it. At this point it might be if you ruled out the memory, processor , video card and the mobo,

power supply has tested ok as has the memory,processor,new video card,don't know how to test the mobo so havn't done that,do you know how

Here at work we have this pretty large meter that diagnoses them, and it costs a boatload of money, other than that I dont another way...sorry. At this point stewarty you should take it in to a shop and let them test it, your going end up breaking thing over knees or smashing it with a bat, or least I would. It could be that the AGP port bad, but thats only an assumption from miles away. Find out what it will cost to have it looked at, and maybe you can fix after you find out what it is. I dont know what else I to say to help, but if I think of something I will definitly post it.

I am getting a psu quite cheap so I shall be trying that in the next day or so
failling that it will be going into the shop
