i have pioneer ao5 on my older computer and a NEC dvd burner on my new one, which came w/ it. but i still get better backups w/ my pioneer than i do w/ the piece of crap NEC. so my point is that the pioneer, especially mine, does burn ps2 games well.

Oem 106 version is Cdn. $ 203 up in Canada and waiting as a Xmas gift to myself to buy this.

I would advise to wait till A07 is released. How much does Oem 106 cost in US ...New Jersey. [/B]
Doubt that, In fact i can buy a 106 cheaper than a 105, And by the time the 107 is released their wont be many 106s going about as pioneer usually stops production 2 months before releasing new hardware.

PS. Where did you here the A07 will be out in december? Poineer haven't even officially released specs for this and everything going around at the moment is from leaked information, Although pioneer themselves has quoted that their will be a new drive released in spring 2004.

I've got both a 105 and 106 and have had no problems at all with burning PS2 DVDs. films, data, etc with them.
