Default Cendeyne a05 firmware question

 
have a Cendeyne (aka Pioneer) a05 DVD drive...

i couldnt find any firmware updates on the

usa site

www.pioneerelectronics.com


but i did find a firmware 1.33 update on the japanese site...

would this be kewl to use this firmware

why do you want or need to update the firmware?

have been getting "Power Calibration errors" lately

and i havent changed media, using "DupEZ 1x" DVD-R

and still have about 400 blanks left....

I suspect its a media issue but if you want to try updating the firmware its really your own choice. I think the latest official firmware for that drive is 121

Yup any Pioneer 105 firmware can be used on the Cendyne. Do you have any other kind of media that you can try out before updating the firmware?
