I made a typo when I wrote the word Disables. I meant to type the word Disable. sorry for the confusion.

If "Disable script debugging" has a check next to it that means that script debugging is disabled. Make certain the box has a check in it.

The problem you are encountering is likely due to a poorly coded script that is being executed when the pop up is run. This is causing IE to crash. Maybe a pop-up stopper will help. There are freeware versions available.

Freesurfer works quite well www.kolumbus.fi/eero.muhonen/FS/Download.htm

click where is says "EMS Free Surfer mk II, version 2.1.026 multilanguage" or the page will seem to take you around in circles.

ive got google tool bar running with the pop up stopper init mate but it still gets passed

"To work around this problem, [b]disable script debugging[/b] in Internet Explorer. [b]This procedure is recommended for Windows 98 and Windows Millennium Edition only.[/b] To resolve this problem on other operating systems, apply one of the upgrades that are listed in the Resolution section of this article. To disable script debugging, follow these steps:"

I recommend proximitron for the popups. Also there are countless popup killers out there. The upcoming version of IE as you may know includes popup killing features.
