getting some ddr ram tommrow, is it a simple job of taking the sd out and putting the ddr in? or is there a bios option to change?:

Yep straight swap m8.

Though I've had a few problems on these boards after with them recognising the RAM properly. An update to the latest BIOS seems to solve this everytime though.
