I don't know what the program is that you are trying to stop and google didn't seem to give anything on the name of the program but depending on the os you are running there are different places for the program to reside.

When you say you have removed it from the registry do you mean you searched the entire registry and removed all instances of it? have you tried removing anything else that is running from the same directory? could it simply be in your startup folder for either you or the default user (again depending on os used).

If you can say what os you are using and also what the program is somebody may know more.

Post isodt.exe

dont know what program it is for as nothing has been installed.

xp pro

nothing in the startup folder.
when i searched for the name in the registry i deleted the folder that contains the exe file.

c:\windows\system32\isodt\isodt.exe

but canot find the folder or file in that location.

Have you tried> Start / Run and typing msconfig.
You can enabel/disable your startup programmes there under the startup tab.
