Thanks, this is just info....
there is alot of arguing going on in the following thread, but it has some good info and certainly make you aware of some possible causes to the V9 ps2's snuffing up.

After reading all that.......seems like DMS3 is still the safest (but the price )

You get what you pay for. I got mine chipped and it was spendy but after reading what a number of other people here have gone through with other chips/swap methods, I am still convinced that getting my PS2 chipped with the DMS3 was the smart choice and worth every penny.

I found a wonderful website which is doing install and chip for $80 !!!
