Default Windows media player plays karaoke!

WMP plays karaoke files?? Yes it does with this plug in *********sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=89149 I am playing a mp3+g file as we speak. ALL credit goes to Holler not me, I am just updating this forum. Plays bin files as well apparently, not tried that yet but a remarkable discovery, eh? Hail Holler again.

Great find!!

even more exciting it the fact that this will play midi+g karaoke files as well as mp3+g, wma+g.

So for those REALLY obscure songs (or for anyone who works in foreign language countries) we can use midi files for the tracks that are hard to get. Yeah, the sounds not great, but it's better than having none.

And it means, for me, that there will be not more 'Den Pao Poothena' every night of the year (the only Greek song anybody ever seems to sing)

just double click the .cdg file attached to the mp3 and it'll play. or drag and drop the .cdg file into WMP

runs like a dream (though I'll still probably use winamp as you can feed this out to another telly)
