I have a Belkin Router. How can I find my IP Address? The address that is in my local area connections is a default address. It doesn't work. How can I find mine? Going to run and typing cmd... blah. gives me the same numbers! If you have any advice for me please share. I don't know much about computers, so please be simple. Thank you.

Use Traceroute.

It doesn't get much simpler.

HERE is a much more advanced site.

The wan ip address is the ipaddress that you would see externally- that should be in your router configurtaion set up page, in some where like the "status page"- thats the ipaddress your isp has provided for that connection- your router uses that on one side and assigns the deafult address 192.168.x.yyy on the "internal network"

Or go to www.ipchicken.com

It will tell you your true IP address.
